Rubidium percarbonate, Rb2C2O6

The Rubidium percarbonate, Rb2C2O6, is produced by electrolytic oxidation of a concentrated aqueous solution of rubidium carbonate. It resembles the corresponding potassium salt.

Peltner has described rubidium percarbonates of the formulae Rb2CO4,2H2O2,H2O; Rb2CO4,H2O2,2H2O; and 2Rb2CO4,5H2O. They are unstable hygroscopic substances, and on contact with water evolve oxygen.
