Rubidium periodate, RbIO4
When a mixture of rubidium iodate and hydroxide in hot concentrated solution is oxidized with chlorine, the Rubidium periodate, RbIO4, is formed in colourless quadratic crystals isomorphous with those of potassium periodate, and with the density 3.918 at 16° C. At 13° C. its solubility is 0.65 gram in 100 grams of water.
